About Me

I'm Leeds, a creator & investor with a background in design, data, and business.

I grew up in a black-and-white world. I lived by the rules, memorized exactly what school told me to, and got awards for hand writing my math assignments with such care that many thought they were produced by a typewriter.

While I couldn't describe it at the time, I dreamed of jumping from the black and white world to the world of color. Entrepreneurship and the brilliant and ambitious people I've met in startup communities have enabled me to do that.

I want to build products that surprise and delight others. I want to help people live in a colorful and rich world.

I studied computer science and operations research at Cornell, and briefly pursued a masters degree in computer and data science at Columbia before dropping out to become Golden's first PM.

During my time at Bloomberg and Golden I worked on two knowledge graph products, wearing hats as a developer, PM, product designer, commmunity manager, and data scientist.

I'm now exploring and spending time building in crypto, knowledge systems, consumer services, and algorithmic trading. I'm especially interested working with / investing in data centric companies creating novel data moats.

I've been writing about my journey exploring some of this frontier technology, their business models, and the people I'm to meet and talk with along the way. You can follow along in my blog.
